São Tomé Pico Cão Grande

São Tomé is the capital of the island nation of São Tomé and Príncipe, set in the Gulf of Guinea. Inland, rising sharply from the dense Atlantic rainforest of Obô Natural Park, stands Pico Cão Grande — a slender volcanic neck that shoots up more than 300 meters from the jungle floor, its sheer basalt walls forming one of the most dramatic silhouettes in Africa.
