Karlsruhe Pyramid
Karlsruhe is a planned city in southwestern Germany, famously centered around a sandstone pyramid in the Marktplatz. Built in 1825 over the tomb of the city's founder, Margrave Karl Wilhelm of Baden-Durlach, the Karlsruhe Pyramid has become the city's most recognizable symbol. Standing nearly seven meters tall in the heart of the fan-shaped city grid, it is one of the few pyramid monuments in Europe and a unique testament to the city's Enlightenment-era origins.
