Seattle is a vibrant city in the Pacific Northwest, known for its iconic tower landmarks that define its distinctive skyline. The city combines natural beauty with urban innovation, featuring a thriving tech scene, coffee culture, and stunning views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.

Completed in 1929 as the Northern Life Tower, the 27-story Art Deco building at Third Avenue and University Street in downtown Seattle was designed by the firm Albertson, Wilson & Richardson, with brickwork that shades from dark at the base to light near the top and setbacks meant to evoke a mountain peak. It was renamed Seattle Tower after later ownership changes, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and designated a City of Seattle landmark. That said, it cannot be verified that this building is genuinely a symbol of the city; that role belongs to the Space Needle, built for the 1962 Century 21 Exposition. The tower is better described as a well-preserved example of the city's interwar commercial architecture.
